toiletries

When it comes to traveling, making sure you have all the right things packed is key. What are some of the most important things to keep with you? Toiletries, of course.

Without your essential hygiene items, your trip is likely to be uncomfortable. But it can be hard to figure out the best toiletry items for your trip. Especially since it seems like there are more choices for women than ever.

Must-Have Toiletries for Travelers

Before you pack your toiletries in a carry-on, keep security in mind. You can look at the TSA guidelines for toiletry items if you need clarification.

1. Hanging Toiletry Bags

Traveling can be hard, especially during the getting ready part of your day. New, smaller bathrooms don’t make it any easier. But hanging toiletry bags do.

With these accessories, you can organize all your toiletries into separate compartments. Then, hang your bag up in the bathroom, and have everything right at your fingertips.

Putting all makeup items in them is also useful because you can reach in and grab what you need. No more using multiple bags.

2. Travel Sized Hygiene

While traveling, you’re likely eating new foods and walking around in new atmospheres. It’s one of the best things about travel.

It’s always good to be cautious about these new experiences, too. With new foods come new ways for your teeth to be vulnerable. Bringing along a small toothbrush, travel sized toothpaste, and mouthwash is key.

Likewise, your skin is also exposed to new elements. Face wipes and travel moisturizers will be a lifesaver. Especially if the climate is very different from your own.

3. Travel Deodorant

If you’re low on space, mini items are important. But they don’t always have enough product in them.

Especially when it comes to travel deodorants. That’s why deodorant wipes are such a great packing item if you’re low on space. They don’t take up much room, and they’ll last longer than a mini stick.

Deodorant wipes are even more useful when they come with a hair growth slowing formula. Shaving on trips is a hassle, and anything that keeps you from doing it often is a plus.

4. Travel Shampoo Options

The mini shampoo options that you find in the supermarket are good for a day or two. But they’re small and don’t last long if you’re traveling far. If you’re staying in a hotel with complimentary shampoo, then you’re fine.

But, when traveling, the less often you have to wash your hair the better. It sounds icky, but there are ways to solve this problem using dry shampoo.

Dry shampoo comes in easy to pack to canisters. They also have more product in them than you’d think. A few sprays to your roots and your day-old hair is fresh and boosted. You can get away with a couple of days of dry shampoo, saving you money on liquid.
